Tree in watercolour

There are some great places here in Vietnam, but I do miss walking in the English countryside. I miss the reliable oak trees and the sensible signposting of the English really. Luckily, Andy’s the sociable one and I’m quite content to stay in to paint and cross-stitch, as it’s why I came here. I’ve been busily painting the flora of the UK that I miss so much.

My watercolour painting is coming along nicely. After struggling to draw for a while, I have decided that it’s not for me, but watercolour is easier to get the hang of. It’s easier to make pretty pictures and I’m quite satisfied with everything I’ve made so far. Here are a few flowers that I’ve made that I’m sending out this week.

An e-learning professional and physics teacher by trade, Andy discovered late in life that he rather likes art. He set up my REAL wall and mailart365 to make and send as much art in the post as possible but spends far too much on postal costs
